Does anyone have success or failure when using your P800 CSD service with Tmobile????
If you do have success can you advise me how you have your settings configured (just the tweaks to problem).
My friends and I all fail to connect or download using CSD directly on the phone...
any help is much appreciated...

Yes it works. Just set it to use the GPRS account as the internet account. So basically, setup you email accounts to dial up, but have it do so as gprs. I can explain better if I knew: what you plan to do with CSD, and whether you're in the USA or not.

To dupasquier:
Here are the exact settings:

-Go the the control panel.
-Select Internet accounts.
-Click New.
-Type Tmobile CSD or whatever you like.
-Connection type should be dialup.
-User name has to be A
-Password has to be A also.
-Phone number is *99***1#
-Leave alone the Advanced settings, just click done.

That's all.
And the purpose of this type of connection is to go on the internet, or get your POP3 email using the P800 as a bluetooth dialup modem, with an iPaq for example.
BUT, if you are familiar with the T68, and when you wanted to get your POP3 email using this CSD method, this won't work with the P800. You can still setup your POP3 email on the P800, but the way to get it would be GPRS and not CSD like the T68.
I hope this helps..

So Mcouper...does this work in the US>???? I am located in the US and have not had any success trying all sorts of configs with Tmobile CSD. ONe person said it has to do with the setting it to Analogue and following the rest of the config from there. Thanks for your settings!

The connection speed has to be analogue only, and that's why i said not to change the Advance settings on the "New" tab..Neither should you enter anything for the proxy settings..really just the settings I mentioned worked perfectly for me..and yes, I'm in the USA..
Give it a shot, and let me know whether it worked or not. I know how you must feel, since these settings drove me nuts for like a week until I got it right..

I actually had it set to ISDN! But switched to analogue and have not had any success either way:(I tried this on my phone and received a box stating
"Call was not answered"

I even tried dial up numbers with different CIDs like
*99***1#
*99***2#
*99#

and still got the same prompt! Now is there anything else I need to do or configure. Does the WAP account have to be changed at all????
Thanks for any help!!!!

Thank you for posting your settings mcouper, but it doesn't work with my P800.

May I ask you what do you have configured as a WAP account and what is your P800 software version?
Thanks.

OK great..I am confused myself now too!
I checked my wap accounts and found this:
TCSD (I am sure I am the one who created it). After clicking edit, it says "Internet account: Preferred (and that's my main GPRS)". That's it.
I also checked my Messaging accounts:
I have Comcast Cable Internet as my isp, so my email settings will not be of help for you guys..except maybe that the Connection type is POP3, and the Internet account is GPRS.
A last resort maybe to go in the advanced settings of the CSD account you created (I know I said not to, but I have a horrible memory and I could've been wrong). In the advanced settings, make sure that:
Get IP address automatically HAS a check mark. Same for "Get DNS...", then on the Script tab, "use log in script" IS NOT checked., but "Plain text authentication" IS CHECKED.
On the Proxy tab, nothing is checked. On the Speed tab, the connection type is analogue, Enable high speed is NOT checked.
On the Secure tab, nothing checked.
On the Other tab, Enable PPP extensions IS checked., but not 'Use Call Back'. Other than this I don't see any other possible setting...
And I'm on R1D.
