Hi,
I downloaded QSM, an IM for java phones..

When I start the program it doesn't connect to GPRS, I dont see it connect, and after it tried logging in it says server out of reach or something likethat.. but ofcourse.. GPRS isn't on.. So I tried going into a wap page and then exit to the menu so I could go into QSM and load it.. but the connection closes as soon as I leave the page..

So anyidea? do java program connect to gprs automatically?

how can I enter gprs and then go into the menu without it closing down.. ??

I just got of the phone with vodafone.

I have noticed the same problem so I thought maybe just my gprs-settings were wrong, but apperently not.. Vodafone recomended me to contact SE about it.

i use vodafone in syd
and after that, coz T610 isnt out in syd yet, but he said t68i configuration should be the same
so he sent me the file

but it didnt work, it said GPRS failed

after that i went to sony ericsson home page
dont click on the country section
go to the right hand side and click on global support area

type in t610 in the search box
click on it
and when u go to the T610 page, click on "wap configurator" and follow the instruction

u will be asked to choose country, the network u use and the phone u r using, after a few questions, u will get a sms from them within a min(sually), not really a sms,but u will be aked if u wanna except the installation, and since the one i configured was wrong, so i choose "replace" otherwise u can choose "add new" or sth

after that, i can get onto GPRS
