Heard so many rumour and different stories about the video capturing program for p800, but didnt know which to believe, so i emailed SE myself, and heres they reply......
Dear Mr Tao,
Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre.
In regards to your enquiry concerning your P800 handset, the P800 is a
2.5G handset. Only 3G handsets are capable of video capture. This means
that it will never be able to video capture through the camera.
Please contact the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre again if we can
assist you further.
Kind Regards,
David Upton

i don't think they bother to employ tech people in customercare center anymore.
I never get supprised about people, who are supposed know, don't know a shit! We are the best support center! Not those clueless persons who answer mail all day long!
We should all thank those who are behind the esato website!
hipp hurray for Esato!

Interesting.. why is it a 2.5g hands and not a 2.25g or a 2.75g or a 2.99g ?

2.5G refers to the addition of GPRS, making it not quite 3G, but still better than 2G(digital cells), and a million times better than 1G(analog), and a trillion times better than 0G(2cans+string)
As I mentioned, SE almost certainly wont produce a vid capture application, they will be too busy making the next phone, but I'm sure some 13 Year old computing genius will come up with one somewhere, all the APIs are available, it's just a matter of time!

SE has helped me with all problems I had with my phone so far. So I don't think that the swedish SE customer care sucks. Try to work in a customer centre for a year yourself and see how little info they give you from "above". Sometimes they have to dig out info about their own products, because someone forgot to tell them. Happens a lot everywhere.
