I've got myself a P800 a couple of days ago, and downloaded GoBoy an smsPlus. I know that playing with a stylus isn't ideal, but maybe you guys can give me some tips. How do you hold it? I rather learn some technique that makes me good enough to play platform games without to much hassle.

Thanx in advance guys!

First of all: Get a Brando screenprotector!!! It's easy to scratch the screen while playing!! (www.p800er.com)

I don't play that much but if U are reffering to stuntrun use your thumb...

PS. I strongly advice U to buy a Brando, It have saved my screen a couple of times... DS.

I didn't mean Stuntrun. I was more thinking of mario-type games and sports games....

It is very difficult to play "Mario-type" games on the P800. The games I play are usually the Arcade games. One of my favorite on GoBoy is Pokemon Pinball! The mapping of the buttons perfect... press job dial away from you for the left flipper and the cam buttom for the right flipper. I'm still looking for other games that can be played comfortably on the P800.

Buy yourself a decent PDA pen to use with it, it is indispensable.

I only use the stylus when I am out, but at home or work I always use the pen I bought for it.

@Diggs09:
Why? Is it better to use? Better for the screen?

@nowd: thanx for the tip. i have that game in my collection, but i haven't tried it yet. I have discovered that rpg games are quite playable. Like Zelda, Pokemon and Final Fantasy.

Yes, I find it much easier to use a proper pen rather than the stylus provided.

Sony do a nice stylus, but its not that cheap.

The standard one is a bit fiddly, its just too short!!

And yes I would agree its well worth using a Brando screen protector - and as it happens I have some for sale!
