Got my origional P800 exactly a month ago but was only getting about 5 hours battery life out of it max. So about a week after i got it I took it back to Phones 4 U who replaced it no questions asked, but im getting the feeling that this one is just as bad! It I'snt even lasting a day! For instance, turned my phone on at 8 am (100% battery), made one 5 min call and had been playin on it for no longer than 30 mins and it died at approx 3 pm! I have got powersave on after 2 mins and the light on automatic. I also close down all the apps once I have finished with them using "SMAN". I origionally thought that I may have been getting poor battery life due to the fact that itmy have been rubbing in my pocket thus turning the light on, however, as an experiment, I attached the keypad for today to see whether this was infact the case, but it clearly is'nt.
Any ideas anyone? as this is getting kinda annoying now.
Cheers in advance!
Olly
P.S, I havn't got BlueTooth or IR on.

How strong is the signal you're getting? The battery can drain fast if the phone is operating at maximum power (in areas with poor reception).

I had this same problem. I was getting 8 hrs. MAX out of the phone in normal use ( not doing anything extreme like putting it in flight mode or turning the backlight completely off). I sent it to the SE service centre, they told me all was OK but since I B&M'ed to them, they upgraded my phone to R2F (this is in HK) before they 'officially' had the update available. Now, it works OK.. not the 400hrs of battery life but you CAN use the phone all weekend and still have a charge left on monday morning... and consider that I read e-books on it so I keep the backlight on a lot...
So .. that's my advice.. take it to be upgraded to the newest firmwear and this should/could be the solution to your problem
