I have been using mpegable to create mp4 files for my P800. My trouble is that when I'm converting larger files I get sync problems where the sound and picture don't run in time.

I might have my settings wrong but they seem to work with smaller files (or is it just that I'm not noticing it quite as muh with them).

Any help would be great. One day I will get thos mpegable setting right and never have to change them again.

Well it's takes a fair amount more work, but i split most of my 7min+ movies into movies of 7 minutes each, because after that it starts to get very bad.

Simple answer is get rid of mpegable and get pv author. its easy to use and i have had no problms converting large files. for example on my mem stick i have episodes of simpsons, seinfeld and malcolm in the middle. All converted using pv author no problems at all This message was posted from a P800

PVauthor keeps crashing. But, i know how to get rid of the latency in mpegable. Just rename the file you will convert to .avi before converting it... That's it!

There is some problems with sync in the PV player in the P800 and this is in the decoder of the software and is likely to occur if there is a lot of scaling going on in the mp4 file (if its size is bigger than the screen).
Or it can be that the source material is encoded in 48.000 kHz and the trancoding is done to 44.100 kHz the you end up with an audio track that is longer than the video track.
