Is there a batch number on the phone or box?
Or a different firmware or hardware version?

I wanna get one soon but can't be arsed sending it back to SE if I'm unlucky... and it's not always possible to play before buying.

Thanks!

hey, go easy on him. he's obviously new and it's not gonna do Esato any good if you go around like that.

ok, so we all get pretty pissed off when newbie's don't bother to search, but at least put it in a nice way. i wouldn't exactly say you (aem kei) aren't a newbie either.

@jellyellie - Agreed.

@aem kei - If you don't have anything constructive or helpful to contribute, do us a favour and not bother.

To aem kei:

Thanks for your reply. I can use 'Search' like anyone else and I've spent hours reading through 100's of interesting posts relating to the hissing problem but didn't find a definitive answer to my query, hence my post.

Strange how you can be bothered to post such a derogatory response, but not a link to a previous post that supposedly answers my question.

Why don't you use your brain and think "Now, why would he be asking if he'd already found the answer?"

To everyone else:

Thanks! It's good to know there are some helpful, pleasant people on here (must just be the Belgians who are rude!).

You only wouldn't notice the hissing if you never used a mobile phone before... it's hardly unnoticeable! My old Nokia does some "noise" aswell, but no hissing. Except the hissing (digital) noise the soundquality of the T610 is very good!
