Hissing noise is normal, said service person after taking my precious phone away for more than 48 hours.
Said they checked other phones, and it's all the same. If enough people complain (or let them know), maybe they'll issue a recall. And give us all new phones with 4 megs inside.

I guess I'll just have to eventually get used to the menu-back key (previously known as "No") and the menu key (now known as "More") around, and the space and punctuation keys around (previously 1, now # and vice versa.) Annoying as hell.
And I miss the "standby/talk time" in the phone status. And the lack of a Chinese input method. I guess these could be fixed with a software upgrade.
Still, with all its flaws, I still love my T610. I wonder if any SE people look at these forums.
