> T310 battery life problem

I've heard about first release of T310, where after reaching about 1/3 capacity, the battery display went down to zero in a snap, without any warning. As if just the upper 2/3 of battery capacity was useful (of course, probably just the calibration of the display was wrong).
Then came a software update, and the ones with R1G001, like mine,
should work allright. It seemed so, indeed: after reaching 1/3, it still lasts about even a day.
But as I discovered recently, it's only true, if it is switched on uninterruptedly! If I switch the phone off and on around 1/3 level of capacity, it will first display a bit more than the real level. After just a few seconds, it soon goes down to zero, and the red LED starts to flash - battery life is over!
I don't believe the power draw of a switch off/on sequence is this high, it couldn't be much more than a few seconds of talking (and if I don't power off/on, from 1/3 level there's still at least a half an hour of talktime, and maybe a whole day standby).
So I guess it's the same problem as it was, the newer software release did not solve it, just altered the display.
Does anybody know about the real reason of this behavior?
Or maybe an even newer software release (or a promise from SE on this bug)?

Dont know about the t310 but the generic issue of 1/3 of energy sounds familiar. After all these years the manufacturers are unable to EXACTLY pinpoint and measure/repeat the moment when the batt reaches 1/3 of energy .the measure is approx cuz of the fact that the phone permanently uses that energy.not an important issue..

I did not have this problem with my T310, and I got it the day it was released here in Norway. Don't remember the firmware version....

sounds all right, but isn't it a t68 like polymer battery, which can (and only for marketing decisions does not) predict a rather exact remaining time?
seems that it is somewhat different battery then

Regarding the power used to turn the phone on and off: i found that turning any phone on and off when the battery is at 1/3 of power just about kills the phone

This as a common complaint from T300 users. At any level, powering off and on will gobble battery life.

I thought it's not a problem affecting only mine, and not even a big issue (I don't keep it in the bedroom for night, so no need to switch off anytime) just it was a bit strange because my old mobiles did not do this. Those were with plain NiMh batteries though, maybe that's why.

I'm having the same issues. The battery life is not what I expected (listed as 11hrs talk time). I have to recharge every 3 days on normal use.
