After reading some of the comments about the T610 camera, I decided to snap a couple of pictures with mine, uploaded them to my computer and then posted here. That way, you can read my comment while seeing what I see:

1) Random objects
(Picture taken indoor - Bad light conditions)

2) This picture was taken outdoors

Now, I don't know how good people expect the camera to be, but I have to remind to some that THIS IS NOT a semi-professional camera for hobbyists/photographers. For its actual purposes, such as the inclusion of your picture in a MMS message, the quality is more then adequate. Sure, it has troubles in darker light-conditions and such specific situations, but people have to remember that this is nothing more than a 'fun-cam'. Also, even the problem that I mentioned as an example, it's going to be solved once the SE flash add-on will be available to buy.

By the way, I've seen the camera-quality of the SE P800, Nokia 7650 and 3650, and the Panasonic GD87 - I've concluded that all of them end up in the same category (Some just a bit better, some a little poorer). I expect the next step towards better camera quality on the future 3G phones (Some of the present 3G phones already have improved quality).

Besides, if you want proper digital snaps, get yourself a proper digital cam...

Best mobile camera is still the MCA-20/25 with T68i... this one is cool for MMS purposes, and in case you want to have your picz on your 65k colour display it's really beautiful

i agree. the fact that this cam is integrated in a mobile-phone is important.
the quality of the pics is really ok, and if you want to have professional pics buy a good digi-cam.

the t610 is a professional MOBILE-PHONE...
will you expect a calendar, alarm, mms etc on a professional digi-cam...?

Hey! the quality og the camera in the P800 has become very good after the R2D update! I think P800 has one of the best cameras now.
