I have a 256K Slopfile.ini in my root c:\ directory. Is this normal?

I see no such file on my phone. Maybe I forgot to add some setting in qfileman or tracker...

I do have Tracker installed but it seems a HUGE file to contain only .ini settings. In fact the file contains a continous stream of A - 0 characters. Does anybody have this file?

Apparently it was added under the new firmware. If you fill your phone's memory up, the OS can delete the slopfile so it has enough memory to boot, basically it protects your phone, because if you don't have enough free memory to boot, the phone just crashes

Umm... seems to be a workaround for poor memory management! Thanks, I shall leave it alone.
