Yes, some apps leave config files and stuff. I always check after uninstalling something....

Ok, but what's hard is, indentifying the files associated with the app.

Sometimes it can be hard to identify the files, but when you have checked a couple of times, you will know what's supposed to be there or not...

Maybe a new P800 user should tell us the files within the phone from first use? (without any changes made)

I think that the Symbian un-installer will only remove files which it installed in the first place. Any files created by the app wont get uninstalled e.g. caches etc. After an uninstall I would think it is safe to delete the folder system\apps\appname to remove the temporary files. Of course this wont work if the app puts temporary files somewhere else and next time you install, you will have deleted your previous settings and will have to reconfigure the app.

Thanks. Hello All!
It would be a nice feature to add to Tracker or suchlike to log files created by various threads etc.. It could then offer an uninstall feature which could stop the running app, uninstall it and remove all the files created by the app. Maybe there is already something out there which does this?
