well it works, when bluetooth is connected (goes via my PC) but when disconnected bluetooth, all I get is "connecting.." and watching the gprs info box, KB gets sent, slowly, 0kb gets received, and no login prompt appears.
What am I to do? wait for minutes? is putty over gprs awful?
Actually I find gprs to be awful in general (t-mobile, in the US) with even google taking 10 seconds to come up, and other sites taking much longer. Is this the just what I have to put up with?
finally, the quality of pictures in 640x480 mode / highq is terrible. washed out of any reasonable colors, no matter what I do playing with brightness or contrast (outside shots - not indoors in lower light, which are worse). Is that just standard for cmos camera phones?
On the camera issue. check it out.

I don't have to tell you which is the P800
Both cameras are set to 640x480 mode.

i agree with u man, am still soo disapponted with the camera, that my friend has the brick 7650 and hes always mocking me about the camera quality, hes like u got that phone for that amount of money, and i still can capture better pics than u, plus there are alot of options that a normal phone should have and it just doesnt!!!!!! for some reason, it just doesnt!!!!!!(call timers) even 1G phones got that i think...

Well tell your friend to send you a midi file for example through Bluetooth... The 7650 just can't (unless you have the filemanager) and is the brick missing features that it should have... And try to view those great pics on such a small screen
Btw the P800 *does* have call timers, just go to 'Phone->the second icon at the bottom->Phone-menu->Total call info'. And it also keeps track of every single call. (date, time, duration, status, etc.)
Afaik, the only thing in which the 7650 is better than the P800 is taking pictures.
//but let's get ontopic...
I sometimes have problems with GPRS on the (Dutch) Orange network, it's slow or just not working. Vodafone does a better job, but then, they're much more expensive. So maybe you could try another network.
