> Change Service Provider for T68i

I have a T68i that I bought with AT&T. Over the past 6 months, I have been overcharged an average of $100 a month!! AT&T eventually fixes the billing, but only after I pay my monthly bill.
I am to the point that I want to change server providers. I have been looking at T-Mobile and will switch when I get back home.
I know that my AT&T phone is locked and won't work with a TM SIM card (tried it with a coworkers). Is there anything but unlocking my phone that I should do? I would really like to get rid of all the AT&T cr*p on the phone. Can that be done?
