> Help! Alerts while headphones are in?

Hi
A simple question - if you have the headphones plugged in, can you make the phone itself ring out/play alarms?
It seems that when you plug in the headphones/handsfree, the P800 switches to "handsfree" mode and no audible alarms come from the phone itself.
Help!

When I set a Task alarm to sound and the headphones are plugged in, the alarm sounds over the headphones and out loud! What kind of alarm are you setting?

The P800 has a different volume slider for handsfree mode... the ringing does come from the phone, this prevents deafening sounds coming from the headsets (trust me, ringtones are rock-concert loud over the headphones

But how do you get the phone itself to play alarms?
The problem is I leave my headphones in all the time because I listen to MP3s, but I can't hear the wakeup alarm in the morning cause the headphones are plugged in and the phone itself wont alarm!

I have the same problem. When the headphones are plugged in, when my phone rings, it only does so through the headphones....not from the handset itself.
I like to use my headphones for listening to music. However, when I'm not listening to music, I have my headphones hangning around my neck. As my phone itself does not ring when my headset is plugged in, I miss many calls. That volume slider for handsfree seems to adjust the ring volume on the headphones only.
How do you get the handset itself to ring????
With my bluetooth headset, both the headset and handset rings....why not in this case??
