> P800 or T610?

Hello all, this is my first post and I was hoping all you P800/T610 owners could help me out! I've currently got a Nokia 8310 but I'm looking to change next month, and I can't decide between the P800 and the T610! Both phones have so much going for them, so I was wondering what everyone would recommend? All comments and opinions would be appreciated!

fashion and fun - t610
mobile internet, organiser, (more business like features) - t800
i would wait a bit longer for a t610 tho as there seem to be a few teething problems
but let us know more about what you want from your new phone

They are both great! But they are 2 different phones. I have the T610. Its cheaper. I chose this phone cuz it has everything I want.
The P800 is for a more professional use. If I had the money I would go for the P800. It has greater features. So go for the P800.
You won`t regret it.

Business use?! its for any use u want.. thats the beauty of symbian.. this phone has the best games i've played on a mobile.. I havent got a single complaint about my P800, no regrets! if u can afford it get a P800 mate! it'll fit your uses cos anyone can write aps for it so there is bound to be what u need out there.. for example i'm soon gonna start a project to controll all the lamps & lights in my room via bluetooth & my P800.. :-)

I'm looking for a good picture messaging phone so I think I'm kinda leaning towards the T610 because of the 65k colour screen, but then again the phone only has 2mb of memory compared to the P800 which has 12mb . . . and then there's the hissing problem, but hopefully Orange will wait until they have "safe" stock before they release it. However I love the touch screen of the P800! Aargh, decisions decisions! Thanks for your opinions guys!

Ha! ha! ha! I went through the same thing as you. I was in agony the last 1.5 months trying to decide which one. In the end, I went for the P800. Reason?
- Cost difference is only about $150.
- 30x more what you can do because of lots of new software coming out
- One of my criteria is size. At first I thought the P800 looks big looking at the pics in the internet. When I saw a real one, WOW. It is small!
- Camera has higher resolution.
- Bountiful memory. Not limited to only 2mb on a T610.
- 4k colors only but you will use the interface most of the time anyway and the screen is TFT!
- There could be a larger battery coming out - 1500mh? There is a lot of room in the battery compartment.
The T610 is nice and solidly built. Can't go wrong with this either but I want to do more with a phone and get rid of my Ipaq.
I placed an order for mineral grey at Expansys. This should have the latest firmware also.

I know your pain! I have both due to my work. I really can't decide on wich one I like better. Both have pros and cons.
The best thing I can advise you to do is think weather you want a phone or a PDA.
Also consider that altough the P800 is a very powerful phone, it will not due all the creative stuff for you. You must invest some time to learn how to use it, just to make the investment work for you.
This comes down to your taste. What do you want?

I had a T300 when I went to the IT show in Singapore a few months back. Both the P800 and the T610 were there. Before going there, I was leaning towards the T610 to replace my T300. However, I was blown away by the P800 once I tried it. The T610, to me, somehow paled in comparison to the former.
Now I am a proud owner of the P800. The size did bother me even now. But I had that settled feeling inside my head about the fact that I had everything I need with me:
1. My Bible (King James version in html - reading it through mobipocket reader)
2. Full PDA function (jotter, tasks, calendar, alarm etc)
3. TFT display
4. Games and loads of them
5. My family video clips (this is a winner compared to just still photos)
6. Music
7. Bluetooth (even with my ancient HBH-10)
8. Camera (even though the quality is terrible)
9. MS stick Duo is fast (really fast) compared to MMC card when I'm copying MP3s to my 64mb stick through an external reader/writer. 3 songs of 14mb took only a matter of seconds!!!
I could have written more if my thoughts are more collected right now. P800 is a clear winner... to me...
