Is there a way to speed dial besides via voice commands? on my previous phone (the little nokia 3590) i was able to press and hold a button to call an assigned contact, anything similar to the t68i

you can use the buttons to dial the peoble you have on the same place on your sim (e.g. you press 3 will call up the person on place 3 on your sim) and then press yes. To move the place for the numbers, go to phonebook -> advanced -> positionslist (or something like that)

Anyway,
Speed dialling:
You can save the phone numbers that you want to reach easily in positions 1-9 on your SIM card
1) Scroll to Phonebook --> Advanced --> Position List.
2) Select the phone number you want to move (press YES).
3) Select the position to which you want to move the phone number (YES).
4) Repeat steps 2 and 3 to continue to move phone numbers.
5) When you have finished press NO.
When prompted, press YES to confirm your changes.
This will copy the contacts from the phone to the SIM, in the specified order.
To call any of these phone numbers from standby:
Enter the position and press YES
Note that you can only speed dial from the SIM, not the phone.
