I recieved my 128 memory stick a few days ago...and I am so excited about using it as an audio player, however I have come to a problem...I have downloaded DBpowever Amp Music convertor and all of the nessarcy codecs...however when i try to convert my WMA into a mp3 file....i get this error message
The file 'C:\Documents and Settings\My Music\Michael Jackson\Bad\Smooth.wma' is copy protected, dMC will not illegally convert protected audio files.
Is there any way around this or any other software to download to get around this...the thing is I am going away this sunday and I would really like to have a selection of songs with me....any help whats so ever would be really appricated

In Windows Media Player on your PC you must have the option set for protected rights.
So whenever you rip a CD to your PC, the wma files are rights protected.
You would have to deselect protected rights, delete the original files from media player, then rip the CD to your PC again.

tools, options and some where there! I cant find it on this computer because it is in german!
But you can not unselect this and then convert it! you must start again and copy from the cd! If you dont have the cds and still want to do this, the only way is to, burn a cd with your current file and use a different program to rip them again, is possible but much work!
