Hehehe..two bits of false information that I have spotted about T610.

In carphone warehouse magazine (i think), underspecifications...'built in FM radio'

...which isn't true. Pls tell me if I am wrong.

The other thing was on mobile review. ON this page:

http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-t610-2-en.shtml

On the bit about themes, It says you can edit them on the phone. I can't find this feature anywhere on my T610. Is it just mine? Anyone else have the same thing? Or can you all edit your themes?

Cheers in advance

About the themes thing, I hear it was supposed to be in but wasn't - should come in with next fw.

Allegedly.

In my local Vodaphone store I was told "Oh yeah, you can definately change the vodaphone icons back to the normal ones", and also "this phone has a built-in FM radio but we haven't found it yet". Not surprising really!

Then in the MPC Mobile Phone Centre, I was told that it has a built-in flash. When I said "No I'm sure it's an optional add-on", the guy showed me a picture of the back of the phone and said "Look there it is" - he was pointing at the silver mirror next to the camera lens!! He just wouldn't accept that I'd seen the flash add-on on Sony Ericsson's web-site...

In The Link I was told that if I buy a T610 SIM free and use it on any network (before the network has approved the phone), then the phone's 1 year warranty from Sony Ericsson is voided!!

In my local O2 store I was told the Sony Ericsson T610 doesn't exist - "I've never heard of it mate" - even though the Vodaphone store next door was selling it. I even went to get a Vodaphone brochure to show the man in O2. He then said "Oh, that probably means O2 won't be selling that model".

Most people in phone shops don't know sh*t.

As for the radio tuner, I believe some shops offer the radio tuner that you plug into your phone for free with the phone.

I know they did it for a bit with the T310 at Phones4U.

Lol! 99% of people who work in mobile shops are just thick as pig shit. The lack of subject knowledge is at best embaressing and at worst damn right hilarious ^_^ ~Eva This message was posted from a P800

True. Usually they don't have any knowledge in the field. The Link is the worst hence their advertisment about *power by knowledge*, utterly nonsence. Phones4u's guys looks like a bunch of crooks trying to rip you off as soon as you step in their shop, very pushy to get a sale off you. Carphonewarehouse staffs are alright but those guys in Cheapside branch are a bunch of ignorant idiots because you don't have a tie over your neck! Wonder how much they earn to be in such way.
