Hi All
Have had my P800 for a few weeks now & really enjoying it. Like a lot of people the transferring of MP3's is a bit painfull, even via Bluetooth (Not to mention tricky to setup).
Has anyone used a Smart Card Reader for the 128MB Duo, & if so is the transferring of files any quicker?

Cheers

i just use my network walkman or my Dsc-P9 (cybershot digital camera) to transfer same speed as a non usb 2.0 smart card reader

I recently bought a MS reader from PC World(horrid store I know) in the uk, it looked fairly cheap and tacky, but for £10 GBP what do you expect? it does its job very well, alot faster than using the docking station and no extra software was needed for Win XP, hope this helps

Hi All

Thanks for your reply's.... But I know it's quick to transfer files, but what about MP3's??
The reason I aslk, is a friend of mine tried to transfer MP3's via his Sony Camera & they came out all garbled on the phone, they could not be read.
My main reason for getting a card reader would be to transfer MP3's, if I know it can do this, I'll be buying one today.

Cheers

Hi

Thanks again for the info. I know an MP3 is a file ... just seemed weird that the mp3 got scrambled. Anyway went out and bought a Smart Card Reader & couln't be happier.
This seemed to me to be a bug bear with the phone, the slow transfer rate via the cradle, but now thats solved with the reader, couldn't be happier.
Anyway thanks for all the info, muchly appreciated.
Cheers
