That sounds like a very good way of getting a T610 for £220 and then paying to get it unlocked and using your PayG simcard. (I'm guessing SIM free it will cost over £250...?)

mighten you as well keep the contract running for 12 months then at least you can use the free stuff. i presume you'll put a PAYG sim in? if you do that it's £218 + your topups

I have an o2 staff contract and don't really want another unless it makes the phone cheaper.
I am slowly converting over to the t610 as opposed to the v200...I'm slightly unsure and was hoping price would determine the issue.
What should I doooooo

Possible on all networks. Just ring up and say you want to cancel your contract. They'll bitch at you, asking you to stay, then tell you that you'll have to pay off every month to make up the total 12months you were contracted to stay with them. Fine, that's what you want - agree. They send you a final bill a month later with number of months remaining x monthly tariff charge. Just make sure you are on the cheapest tariff before you do this, as it doesn't work so well if you start on a £50per monther, say!
Got rid of the T-mobile logos and customisations, except the WAP icon - but that doesn't bother me too much. Just need to get it unlocked, then it'll be my backup phone for my P800, using O2 & Orange contracts.
