Just saw this on the PRESS RELEASE SECTION (well hidden) on the neonode site and well looky to the bottom!! The first bit was said in mid may apparently according to the site ... and God knows when the LAST bit was added!! (that bit was VERY weell hidden right at the bottom well after the long paragraph! It didn't even get a tiotle on the site!)

NEONODE EXPLAINS WHY THE N1 IS NOT YET AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET.

The team at Neonode would like to begin by apologizing to the industry press and to the 20 000+ individuals who have pre-ordered Neonode's first mobile handset, the N1, expecting it to become available this spring.

Neonode regret to inform you that the product still is in its final phase of development and will not become available this May, as we had planned.

Neonode's first product, the N1, is a mobile handset unlike any other available on the market today. More than just a phone, a digital camera and a MP3-player - it is a complete and open mobile entertainment and information platform that provide its users with unprecedented freedom to customize each mobile to fit their individual lifestyle by, among other things, downloading new applications, games and files on-line.

To design and build a user-friendly, yet versatile and powerful mobile entertainment and information device is a very challenging undertaking. But recruiting the key technical competence needed to develop a product, such as the N1, has taken more time than we had originally anticipated. But the hard work of our talented and dedicated team of hardware and software developers now gives us every reason to believe that we will soon be able to prove to our customers and the world that the N1 was indeed worth waiting for.

NEONODE EXPLAINS WHY THE N1 IS NOT YET AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET.

Neonode has chosen not to communicate a new release date for the N1 at this time. All registered customers will receive more information by e-mail and the latest news, including a new release date, will be made available on Neonode's web site (www.neonode.com) in the coming weeks.

I always say a phone only exists when you can go out and buy it.

Like a painting, there is never a time when its actually FINISHED just a time that you decide to stop painting.

N1 decerves a fair go. A small company with the guts to try are admirable in my view. Delays are to be expected for a first release. This message was posted from a P800
