Last weekend I went to the beach to get a little sun and chat with my friends.
As I wasn't to stay for long i took my p800 with me.
Unfortunately, a grain of sand got between the screen and the case, and now the phone DOESN'T WORK (at least it's useless).

Aaaaaaargh!

The grain must be making some pressure in the bottom left corner of the screen (since sometimes i get the network's info, like i was pressing the little bar icon), so all my stylus click get "overrided" by that pressure.
Keys don't work.
Touch screen doesn't work.
The only thing that i could use to operate it was the jog dial, but i turned it off and on, and i can't enter the lock code (DUMBASS!!!)

Going to get it to a service point (i won't risk opening it), to see if it can be cleaned (hope the screen isn't f**ked up). And while i'm there i'll upgrade the soft.

Wish me luck.

Bottom line:
P800 and a day at the beach, BAD combo!

I have 2 pixel-sized immovable dust specks that garrisoned themselves somewhere center (albeit more to the sides) of the screen.. while i had my firmware upgraded, I pointed this out to the customer service officer who explained that they cannot remove the lil white dots.. Hope you have better luck mate!

Hay no drama!

I buy screen protectors and the cut them to size, when they are to big and get stuck between the screen and case it overrides the touch screen, then i did same thing as you turn it off, and yeah you could of guessed! could type in password!

So just open it up and then it will be working again! once that little grain a sand is out! good luck

@Krubach, since the keys and touchscreen doesn't work, download REMOTE P800 from http://my-symbian.com/uiq/applications/applications.php?fldAuto=248&faq=2 , connect ur p800 to its cradle, and Viola! . Your problem is solved (Well, at least for a few days.)
I wanted to post this earlier, but the Esato server was down.

Just for the record (almost forgot it).

SE service centre diagnosed a faulty screen :?: and it was needing replacement.
After waiting almost a month for a screen to replace the one i had, SE service just exchanged it, no questions asked, totally free.

It rocks! But no way i'm taking it to the beach again. Just in case.
