Dear Mr Looker,

Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre.

Answer:
I can confirm there isn't any upgradeable software available at the moment. Sony Ericsson would be unable to confirm if a software upragde was to be performed at a service centre that it would get rid of the vodafone branding.

Please contact the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre again if we can assist you further.

Kind Regards,
Robert Ramsey

Question:
Subject: T610
Product: T610

Opinion: I have noticed that the T610i on Vodafone has awful voadfone meus which have ruined the phone. Will a flash of the firmware at a SE centre remove the vodafone branding and replace it with the original sony ericsson menus?
Country: United Kingdom

i'm from germany and i have the same problem. i comlained already about this and the reply was one paragraph of direct answers and other four paragraphs commercials for vodafone live!

i dont know what you think about this, but after two years i will not be voda-customer any more.

I have a Vodafone branded t610, well I used to. I paid the average £20 to get it removed and though I'm not entirely satisfied with the results the live! button and awful menu buttons are gone.

I don't mean to start a flame war - but to the people who bought a vodafone T610: stop complaining about the damn menus, noone forced you to keep the phone. If you don't like it you should have taken it back and bought it from someone else.

I whole-heartedly agree. I'm a vodafone T610 owner, but I could really care less. I knew what I was buying, but I also knew that there was going to be a solution to the problem of the customisations. Now the problem has been solved, so I will get it fixed soon enough. This is what I have to do to have the best when it first comes out.

But what excuse do people have that have just bought the phone? They know that voda customizes the phone, so why buy from them? And if they do, why complain?
