Hi everyone... i m posting this thread to discuss about the problemo of T610 in Malaysia and Singapore. DO feel free to give ur feedback for the PROs and CONs of T610? How should we deal with the "hissing sound" issue?
what do ya all think?

FYI, ive been goin to ERICSERVE (they r the authorised service center) in AMcorp Mall in the past few days to fix this problem but in the end it just a waste of my time. they juz cant do anythin to the set. Swap 1 to 1?? yes they do...but the hissing is still there. i will advice all the T610 owner out there to wait for the 2nd batch of T610, then only go visit Ericserve. otherwise it is juz a waste of your time. this is the result i got after so much hassle..... now what we can do is wait..wait and wait (dunno until when)
i m quite dissapoint with SE

Yeah, I've decided to wait for the 2nd batch before buying the T610.

@ psychofre@k,
Guess, this is common... I believe you've heard about this hissing sound prior to its launch in Malaysia... I believe a lot of people knew this as well but ... because of the rush for this phone... you guys have to bear the pain.
I was informed by Ericserve technicians that even the replacement would not help much as the replacement too has hissing problems. That's why, usually, do not buy handphone during the 1st launch... especially you knew the problem in advance.
But don't worry, the fixed replacement set will be out soon... just the matter of time. I believe those SE Service Centers find it difficult to service T610 too...
Little advise, since T610 replacement is not fixed yet, play with the existing phone first... you'll definitely get a replacement later... I believe, other than this hissing sounds, others are working perfectly.

This hissing problem is being very much overrated!

I have only heard it once in 3 weeks and that was because when I heard about the hiss I made an effort to be in a totally quiet room and really listened for it.

In normal operations you will rarely notice it.

you are right that the phone works brilliantly (so far) in all other functions.

Both of you must be very lucky to get a set doesn't hiss that badly. However you also have to consider others that hisses pretty badly. My T610 sounds like some cheap ass phone when it hisses. Here's what I noticed also. When someone from a shopping mall calls me, the background noise becomes so messed up that it interferes with the what the caller is trying to say. Usually on other phones, I can sometimes pick up what's happening on the background. With the T610 it's just impossible.

For Malaysian users, u must have noticed that if u're a 012 user, the sound quality is usually better than a 016. With the T610, it just sounds bad regardless on whether I'm on 012 or 016.

Oh well, as long as they give me a replacement unit, I'm happy. Just don't try to fix my current defective unit.

now I have it after using for three days.
I realise for mine, it only appear if I adjust the listening
volume to 3 bar.

Maybe the speaker quality is fluctuating...it seem everyone have
different problem. now I just keep it around MAX coz when I do tht
I hear no hissing, just like the quality I get when I purchase it.
