Both the MobiPocket Office Companion and Repligo does pretty much the same thing. The question is, which is better? In terms of the final footprint of the generated file, support for Office applications (including Visio and Project), usability and features at the client end?
Would sure like to hear your views... thanks.

I am suprised that nobody ever answered the above question.
I am also looking for a good (read : 'better that the standard provided viewer') document viewer.
I went through the web documentation of both mobipocket (mobipocket office companion) and cerience (repligo) and they obviously fight in the same category and are about the same price.
It is also clear that it does not make sense to have both.
So who has tried both and picked one of them and what where the reasons of this choice ?
TIA for sharing your knowledge.
Note 1 : I am a newbie and I did the search... unfortuantely the only corresponding post had no answer to it !
Note 2 : instead of a viewer I would of course prefer an document editor, but I see none at the horizon.

I actually use both repligo and mobipocket, repligo for CAD drawings and the ability to convert almost any type of document also the excellent zoom in facility..
mobipocket great for news reading and some great books to read that are available also the security feature were you can password protect individual files is good. Also the ability to directly send your doc to the P800 is great where with repligo go you have to start opening other folders to drag or copy n paste etc to get the document into your P800..
my problem is i need a Tif file viewer so i can read incoming Tif email attachments on the road, as yet i cannot find anything.
Yes editing would be great, other than jotter or editing plain text files there is nothing yet available..?

Same here... i am using both of them, they both have strong sides.
But for my CAD, i am using a specific program/databank/site.

Either you blue, or chg are a bit nuts: see chg's quote "It is also clear that it does not make sense to have both."

And it make a lot of sense to use both, they both have strong side, not one is better then the other, they are similar and complementary... loll

Apologies for having said that it does'nt make sense to have both....
I am looking for a good word/excel/powerpoint/pdf reader.
Neither less nor more.
So in that perspective, I would like to hear which you think is best, hoping I would not need two applications to do that !
Note : as for reading eBooks and news, "Mobipocket Reader" came with my p800.

I should say, for office document, you can best use Repligo... for e-doc like e-book is it best mobi-pocket.

I also use both.
I prefer Replico as an Office document viewer:
Compresses file size (25% of size with power point is typical)
Good visual layout
Easy to use
Quick to run
I use it to carry presentations around with me to either be viewed on my P800 or on some else’s PC. Obviously for the later it’s better to carry copies of both or either the PC versions of Remote P800 or Repligo viewer to enable you to Bluebeam the program files to their PC.
Mobipocket is an excellent tool for downloading and reading books and news.
To me, the big differentiator with Mobipocket is its ability to create, search and view document databases – ‘books’. E.g. you could create and download a ‘book’, to your P800, containing all emails (1000’s) relating to a client, giving you a searchable database in a highly compressed format.
That’s how I use them!
