My first post and I'm desperate for ideas. I am having massive problems with a 3com BT PC card, a Fujitsu Siemens tablet pc, and the infamous P800. I've been using the phone for a couple of months now with a vaio and bluespace with no problems. Also tried it with the Toshiba BT stack and after a bit of fiddling got the lot working. 3com is proving more difficult. Has anyone had problems installing the BT modem and getting it working with a 3com card? I'm starting to think it's the tablet itself but based on the problems I and others have had with 3com it may be worth trying another adapter.

I am with you! I have 3com with a vaio! I have huge dramas!!!! I have had it for about a month now(bt) had phone for about 3months. With bt I spend about 4 hours in one day and so peed off with it I leave it and a week will come buy and same story 4 or 5 hours and then I get no where.

At one stage I was real close I had almost everything working then playing around with more settings and back to square one.

anyone out there that knows how to please let us know!

Oh and I read in one post that someone needed to change something on the m-router! to get it working! What is a m-router??

I've got the same problem.
Iv'e got a 3com bluetooth pccard together with a IBM r40 thinkpad.

Is far is I know the only way to make it work like IT SHOULD! is updated drivers which would fix the problem, and that brings us to the second problem. THERE ARE NO UPDATED DRIVERS...

So help me on this. Spam 3com. Make them fix this!

Iv'e sent about 5 e-mails so far!

Yeah I have tried that and it did not work for me! He said it worked good for him. But really if there is no conflicking ports and then he changes it to no conflicking ports I cant see how it worked. But it worked for him like I said and not for me!

any other ideas.

Sure you can use the modem driver for a "Modem" Connection but you can't use the modem driver to make a serial connection!

Still having a mare with 3com. Tried Billionton drivers but still no luck. I tried installing it on my work Dell LS laptop but wouldn't run at all. Tried messing with the IRQ assignments but had to restore after a few goes. The tablet is proving to be more of a problem. BT SW installs ok and runs as long as I don't install P800 SW first. When I try and tell the phone connection link which ports to use it complains for the first few goes and then finally works. But then the 3com BT SW won't work!!!!
Anyone recommend a good BT PC card?
