Well the new law is out, so now you can take your mobile phone number from att to t-mobile, or vice versa if you are crazy. I am just wondering have anyone actually tried such transfer and how complicated it is (concidering, your phone is unlocked, no contract bounding etc..)

the law called wireless local number portability has been passed for several years, but has been caught litigation and postponments. It comes up again in November '03

One can only hope wireless service in the US will get better with number portability.Imagine the idea of keeping your number and switching to another carrier is a stronge message to the wireless industry not to mess with the USERS.
