Had the Vodafone UK T610 for couple of days now & to start with I was very pleased with it , it's only been over the last day that i've started to notice the problems that are mentioned here like :

Hissing during phone calls

The increase ringing ( even though this seems to be a design feature )

Just after switching on the phone the menu seems to hang for about 40 seconds before it will allow me to do anything.

Just wanted to get you guys opinions on getting a refund , seeing as i've only had it 2 days & still got the receipt do you think that I would have grounds to ask for a refund seeing as the phone has these kind of problems ?

Most products have a \"no questions\" asked return policy after a number of days. I think it is 7days. Vodaphone should give you your money back if you are not happy. Also with the problems you are guaranted a refund or replacement This message was posted from a T68i

I am not sure about the legal aspects of this, but the hissing is the only actual problem.

The "hang" is just it booting up and you should be able to turn the increasing ring off in the settings menu.

I should say that I love the phone, despite the fact that I hate the vodafone branding which prevents me configuring the phone exactly as I want.

The lad in the vodafone shop in Glasgow told me that he would have non-hiss T610s on Friday (6/6) for exchange.

thanks for the info

the increasing ring I mention is reffering to even if you have it switched off the ringtone starts low then up to higher volume.

As for the menu hanging , I know some phones do take time to start up but this does it randomly so it's defo a problem somewhere.

All in all I love the phone, just that these problems have put me off wanting another one so I wana see about geting a refund but wanted to see what you guys think ?

You have 7 days to return the product for a full refund.
If you do indeed have a dodgy phone then you can get it replaced under warranty.

Regards,

Phil.
