The SPV is pretty rubbish I've heard, it doesn't do nearly as much as the P800, but I haven't used one, so don't take my word for it.

Is it true that the spv can play any mediaplayer formats?
unlike the p800 which can only play mp4 videos.
Also the spv can take uptp 512mb sd card, p800 can only take upto 128mb.
Can any spv users confirm this?

Hi there, I work in a LINK mobile phone retail outlet and we have an SPV demo model for demonstrating to customers.
I currently own a P800 and think its amazing. I have played about with the SPV on many a occasion and think it pants compared to the P800.
If you like, you can go into a LINK store and ask for a demonstration of one. And then just say thanks very much and leave!!!
Dont say I told u that though!!
But I would not go for one anyway!

A mate has an SPV and to be honest the P800 pi$$es all over it. The CPU 132mhz compared to the P800's 156 - but the P800 is much faster, doom for example runs way better.
Microsoft OS on the SPV is quite nice, but not as versatile as Symbian on the P800. The screen is also smaller - but probably slightly sharper.

i would make sure you have a look at the updated spvx before you make a decision. apparently the processor is faster, the buttons bigger, etc ...

I just feel the p800 is too big and that the movie conversion is a lot of hassle, if the spv plays any media format, it must be impressive.
If the p800 was a little bit thinner, i would love it & probably marry it !!
