What were you doing prior to this dismal state of affairs?
I guess if you can tell that both drives are empty then this is possibly a good thing because at least the OS is running. Have you tried forcing a watchdog timer reset by holding the power button down for 10 seconds?

no ive turned off and on and its sitting next to me with battery out hopefully it was just the os reporting strange things and it will be ok soon
