Officially it should work with 4.6 and 5!

I myself have lotus notes 6.

I first installed version 5 and then i installed 6 into the same directory. That way version 6 also works!

Hey guys,
Maybe you could help me. I work with LN5.0.8. Just bought my phone a few days ago. Installed all the soft, that works fine. Only the synchronisation with my laptop fails. I get the message "Can not find the PIM-file/database". Can you help me on this one please. Many thanks beforehand!

Daniël

I'll have to be honest and say that I tried 5.0.8, then 5.0.11, then 6.0.1. In all cases,
- the calendar worked to a certain extent (excluding meetings initiated by someone else or repeat meetings)
- tasks worked fine
- contacts indicate that they are syncing and the process terminates but no contacts are copied to the phone.
- emails work fine

Contacts are the MOST important for me and I have never managed to get them working ! SE can't help because they don't care.

This is the only problem I have with this phone !!!!

I you forgot to enter your Notes password for contacts the syncmanager does not report an error it just syncs nothing and says it was successfull.
For me It works fine to sync Contacts.
The other issue i'm not so sure of.

If you forget to enter the Notes password for the contacts, it come up with an error msg - unable to open PIM. Tried that, been there ! I was once told that there is a trace utility employed by SE to see what is happening during the sync process. I really need that.....

Hi,
I had sync problems with LN5. It just didn't work. Now I found a workaround. First I upgraded the PC suite to the latest version (1.5.1). Then I specified in the Sync Station Settings to sync with the local database (on my laptop) instead of sync with the server database. Specify the complete string to the database to sync with (C:\Lotus\Notes\Data\yourname.nsf).
Now I first have to replicate the server database with the local database on my laptop, and then sync my laptop with the phone.
This way it works fine.
Hope this can be some help to you.

I got it work with R6, with no problems. There was only a problem with calendar entryes that passes mid-night.

You don't have to install R5 and then R6 ins the same directory. Just go to the resgistry and change the Notes keys to point to your R6 directory.
