On some websites you can read that SE have plans for a T610i with Instant Messenger. Does anyone know something about this. Will it be possible to upgrade a T610 to T610i if SE desides to release a new version of T610?

You got links to thouse sites?
I can understand if its just diffrent forums having theorys about it.
I doubt there will be a T610i released from
so I would like to see something more official about it before
I belive it.
Also shouldn't be impossible to implement it to T610 since it
supports java.

The original white papers stated that the T610 came with a version of ICQ messenger, unfortunately this never made the final version
I think Vodaphone have a messager option on there 'live' menu's but it isn't an instant messenger like we know

http://www.tipicme.com/
That application should handle both IM and ICQ
perhaps someone with a T610 would like to test
and let us know if it works

"One some websites" actually means on mobile-review.com, where the writer of the article SPECULATES (with no proof at all) that SE will release a T610i.
Thats like me saying "SE are gonna release a T610XXX which will have inbuilt porn viewer and a stronger vibrator to be used as a...vibrator"
These claims are coming from peoples imagination, and as such cannot be believed. Why the hell would SE develop a killer mobile and then release an updated version later on ??!! The T610 has only just come out for gods sake !!

I've think they planned to implement AOL IM on the T610. If you go to the service menu by pressing:
right * left left * left *
You can see some proof in the "Text labels" menu, like:
"Add to buddy list?"
"Accept IMs?"
etc.

Comparing Instant Messenger and a vibrator? Hmm... that's serious:) Or Not! SE did it with T68, and though many say that T68 is from Ericsson and T68i is from SE, its the same phone with some upgrades. I would think that it is very possible that SE in a few months will release a T610i. It's most likely the same phone with som upgrades.
And by the way T610 (a killer mobile) as you call it have serious software problems, and SE have taken all most every phone from the marked so they can reprogramme them.
