What's the difference between ON, AUTO and DICOVERABLE, in terms of Bluetooth operation mode?

The manual isn't vrey helpful with this. How much battery power do all consume? Any info appreciated.

when set to ON -> bluetooth is on all the time (using quite a lot of battery)
set to AUTO -> bluetooth has to be manually started by setting it to DISCOVERABLE or choosing to "recieve item". After 3 minutes of inactivity bluetooth will turn off
set to DISCOVERABLE -> for 3 minutes other bluetooth devices will be able to see, establish communication, or pair with your phone

hope it helps

On means it's always on, but not discoverable.

Discoverable means it's on and discoverable.

Auto means it's off unless needed by the phone. No good if you want to initiate a conection from a headset, pda, or laptop.

I leave mine on, use a headset, and make about 30-60 minutes a day, after 20 hours it's usually down to about 75%.
