This is my first post here and i only wish it was one of praiise for a phone company and network, but alas it isn't.

I got my T610 on Saturday 24th May on Vodafone (my first mistake).
All seemed to be fine and well until i actually got home. Gone were the menus i had seen in all the screenshots and they had been replaced with the very bland vodafone live options, not to mention the vodafone logo on the base of the handset, and the sim card trademark sticker on the back of the handset (wasn't even put on straight).

I had changed over from Orange so it took 7 days for my number to transfer, so i couldn't actually make calls until a few days ago.

When first using the phone i noticed that the speaker quality was very poor with the now famous hissing, and no matter who you talked to it sounded like they were outside somewhere, plus it was quite a quiet reception.

After finding this forum i realised that i wasn't alone, so i took the handset back today. The assistant told me that they had been sent a faulty batch of phones with the wrong software and this had now been rectified (alarm bells were ringing, as research showed that it was actually a hardware fault not software, and vodamoan had changed the software trying to solve the problem by turning down the speaker volumn more).

I tested the replacement phone in the shop and i could still here the hissing, so i cancelled the contract and got my refund (only £30 as i got £100 off the phone for connection on the talk 200 plan).

So now i have no phone, no network, my PAC number and still wanting a T610

so does the icons change back when u inserted the orange sim card?

cos thats what i'm tryin to do but the hissing sound is not that bad cos it cant be noticed when u are making a call outdoors anyway

*though i would prefer the hissing sound gone but it will mean me waiting again*
