Wasn't there a rumour somewhere that there was a new SE clamshell on the way? Looking at designation- hope it has a jog-dial- cant stand unresponsive joystick and yes/no keys anymore!

The z700 was canceled because it was on the same platformas the z7 and se decided to focus on the ericsson platform, from the t68 we have had t68i , t300 , t310 and possibly the new t220.

There is an interview
here where a Sonyericsson man talks about a GSM clamshell phone before the end of the year.
Quote:
There are some interesting Sony Ericsson products in Japan, using the clamshell design. Are any of these designs coming to the GSM market?
We are going to increase our portfolio substantially, starting from May onwards. We're not looking to be a stick-shape manufacturer or a clam-shell manufacturer. You limit yourselves in terms of what you're doing then, so we will have both types of products.
I think there are definitely groups of people who like clam-shell phones. The advantages are you are able to have a very good sized keypad and a big display. We believe it's a strong part of the market, but it's not the total market.
We will have products that fit both camps and we will have a dual line-up consisting of both types of phone. That strategy will be fully implemented by the end of the year
Then Eldar from Moile Review named the handset Z200 in
this post, and gave a few more details, along with the first news of the T220.
Quote:
This model is Z200, not T750 (and clamshell design, not flip)
anounce will be in first part of summer with another budget model, I wrote about it (t210-t220)
It would be on sale in Q3
funny design, not conservative, vivide colours of case...
by features - it's almost the same with t610 but a little more simpler
TFT, camera
I thought it would have been unveiled by now, but hopefully it will be on sale by October/November.
