Just bought a T610 ten days ago.

Today my phone showed "invalid mobile" on the display even though the network strength is full. I cannot make or receive calls.

Any ideas about this ?

I got that the other day on my t68i, O2 network.
If you switch the phone off and then on again it should go away.

Regards,

Phil.

i would get that occasionally on my R520 and my T68m. never happened on my P800 though. I wonder if it is more to do with the network...

Yeah, it must be a network thing because when I got it I was unable to make any calls and it was the operator logo/name which change to "invalid mobile".

@phil
Thanks for your reply.

I tried that quite a few times but it doed not work. The T610 displays the operator logo for about 5 mins and then goes back to the "invalid mobile" status.

It seems as if there is a new type of 15 digit IMEI in use in the newer models. This could be problem.

I have heard of networks blocking certain phones becasue they do not support them.

Have you bought the phone from a third party company and tried to use your existing sim card in it?

In India, mobile operators do not provided sim/network locked phones. You can buy a phone from anywhere and use a sim from any operator.

In any case, it seems that problem is with the sim which is a 32K one.

I've used quite a few phones over the years but the T610 is the first phone thats giving me problems. I first piece I bought had a defective joystick; which I got replaced. Now the secone one is also giving problems.

Things are made more difficult by the fact that SE customer care/service in India is perhaps one of the worst in the world.

I've got this problem too
But i think there was a network problems
I have 2 simcard, once I find that my t68i in "invalid mobile" mode, I try to change the other simcard, it's work. but when I change back the simcard, the "invalid mobile" mode appear again. after a while, I leave the place I've stayed before! the "invalid mobile" disappear.
I also find this problem in t610, but just once!
