I plan to get a T610 on o2 50 plan which is £18/month from carphonewarehouse, would I be able to upgrade to the one at o2.co.uk with the Online 50 plan which is £20/month?

thanks guys

Simple equation:

O2 retail != CPWH O2 != O2 online

So no, they are effectively different networks for your purpose. To get an O2 online tariff, you have to sign up to an O2 online contract. You cannot move between them.

No I dont think so. CPWH are classed as a service provider, and they have their own tariffs (same thing as Phones4U do). I dont think you can switch between service providers, so any tariffs you choose will have to be CPWH ones.

Looks like 02 will release the t610 on the 1st July ( it will be one of the handsets that come with 02 Active). Plus they are checking the phone works perfect. So there will be no problems when its released. Only 3 weeks to go, hang on bud, cause 02 online tariffs rock. Just think of all those free txts!!

lol i know, i know. I was going to buy a new mobile 2 months ago. I looked at the Nokia 7250 and thought well that goods. Then I saw the T610 and just though wow!! Then I couldn't find any information on when it wuld be released. Finally it gets released in the Uk, but not on o2 yet! Oh the torture!! Be worth it though. I'm getting the offpeak online 500 deal. 500 mins off peak, and 50 off peak mins to anyone and 500 txts for 20 quid a month

You'll probably be waiting even longer for O2 online to get them - O2 are usually a couple of weeks ahead of online.

You could just get the phone now - buy it on PAYG/T-mobile contract & cancel immediately and unlock = £230.

Then get the SIM only from O2 online, for just £15 per month instead of the £20 (£5 cheaper per month if you don't get a handset at the same time). Thus effectively you are paying £170 for the handset - i know this might seem expensive, but it's that or waiting even longer!

good idea. But the phones that will come on o2 will be fully working. Plus the whole idea of going with o2 is that its cheaper. I don't mind waiting for a cheaper deal.

sounds like a good idea! the main thing I am looking for is free wap and txt messages! and around 50mins xnet calls!

let me know if you find good deal, other than o2!

edit: simion_levi, what happends if I want to upgrade to a new phone? do upgrade rates apply? or would I have pay at full price?
