> Hissing fixed, now disappointed

Sent my phone in to the Se service centre and had the hissing fixed. It took 2 hours and they said they did an audio calibration.
The result is no hissing, but the ringtones and alert tones are not as loud as before.
Yes the hissing is no more, but this is very sad and diasappointing.
Anyone else have this experience? Any possible fixes?

MINE had been in the service ctr twice and the vendict is :....
they will call if they already know the solution... (aside from being clueless on the defect sw or/and hw ??? no one knows... all are rumors and hopelessness)...
Mine is going back...

I got burned in this good looking phone...with BT static/hisses/display flickering etc...

From what I've read it's a hardware fix and not a calibration - something about the audio amplifier circuitry picking up interference from the radio transmitter section, requiring the replacement of certain resistors. Maybe they didn't have the parts to do a proper repair. Has anyone elso had their T610 fixed and noticed a change in audio quality?

they just set the volume louder, so the hissing is not noticeble, but is still there. Look out for this kind of 'fixes'
Vodafone UK does the same i read somewhere on this forum

I have a Vodafone UK version and I have been told the non hissing ones will arrive on Monday.
They said they would exchange my phone for a non hissing one then, (i've already exchanged it 3 times but they all hissed).
Trouble is my 14 day returns/cancellation expired on Wednesday just gone, so would I be within my rights to cancel it anyway if one of their so called hiss free phones from the new batch still hisses, or if it hasn't had the hardware changes and they have only made software changes.
If not then I would say that Vodafone would suck BIG time and lose my custom forever.

The first thing I noticed was that the ringing tones were softer (I always had mine at 5 bars) and correct me if I'm wrong...the poly tones lack the kinda punch they used to have. I used to used "Moonstar" but now I've swithed to "Digirain" as this is the loudest.
Yes, the annoying hiss is gone but now we have this "problem". I won't be bringing back the phone again. I'll just wait and see what happens. It's just silly that I've to take my time off work to go to a service center to get my phone fixed. I've already taken a day off just to get this replacement unit. Damn.. this is getting tiring already
