> My T610 is now unlocked!! =)
Bookmark topic
Righty-ho, I'm now in possession of a totally unlocked T610!
One of my local shops finally got the fixed software in to do it, managed to recover my T-mobile T610 from the postoffice (it was on it's way to logosunlimited to get unlocked) and get it unlocked in my local shop instead.
As usual, everyone gets free advertising from me - so Nick at mobileXchange (www.mobilexchange.net - 130 North End Road, West Ken/Fulham) now can unlock them for £20.
He is also investigating a full flash service to remove Voda customisations, etc (not just the standard firmware flash to ROM done in service centres, but accessing the IMEI ROM where the customisations are located). Think it's all in place now but, understandably, he wants to test with a few handsets before offering the service to the public. Not guarranteed, but i'll post once i get mine successfully done (simply to replace the T-zones WAP icon), if he is able to.
And since he'll probably be passing on the software, Mobile Repair Centre (just up the road,
www.mobilerepaircentre.com) will probably be doing the unlocking soon too, for £20 also.

Excellent news. Now just keep us posted about getting rid of the *slightly* irritating vodafone customizations...

I have the voda customisations and am taking it back today, although, if i can get rid of those *slightly* irritating menus, should i take it back anyway? its also a week 18 phone with the hiss, would that be fixed also? will it void any warranty?

I think we all know that - but this discussion is on T-mobile & Voda handset unlocking & de-customising without going through SP's, no mention of the little spherical fruit in this thread!

I think I know the shop, is it near W Ken tube station? I went there 2 unlock my T68i and he wanted 2 charge me £30 and said thats cheap and how every1 else was gonna raise their prices to £40+ soon and how I should do it quick. Obviously, Im no fool and I got mine done in a shop on Askew Road W12 for £15 about 6 months later...
