Running a Jabra BT200 with my P800 and T610 now. I was hoping (but knowing it wouldn't work!) that the headset could voice control either handset when only one was turned on, without having to pair each & every time - obviously one handset, first/last paired, would get preference when they were both on - but it seems this is not the case.

Whenever the headset is paired with one handset, that handset gets voice control from the headset, dialling, changing profiles etc. The previously bonded handset remains paired, but the headset can no longer initiate voicedialling etc on the previous handset, even when the newly paired one is turned off. The headset will link up with the previous handset, even if the newly paired phone is switched on but in standby with the BT200, but only by starting a call on the handset - it'll then pass the call directly to the headset once you push the button on that handset.

I've got it set up as best i can - bonded T610 first, P800 second - so i can leave my P800 on my belt etc and start calls etc from the headset, but if i want to make calls from my T610 i have to pull it out, dial the number, then put it away again as the call is passed onto my headset - even if the P800 is turned off. I can of course answer/end calls etc on whichever handset is using the headset at the time.

I am fine with that way, as it's much less hassle to pull the small T610 out of my pocket to manually dial (or to press one key, shove it in my ear & say the name, then put it away) than a P800, at least when you are used to voicedialling anyway - but if anyone knows how to have the handsets paired simultaneously so that they EACH have priority when only one of them is turned on, I'd love to know it.

EDIT: Connection between BT200 & T610 is GREAT by the way - i'm certainly not suffering any of the apparent crackling problems that some users have reported. It's as good as, possibly a little better than, my R2D P800's link - and i've got an (albeit quiet) hissing T610 from 03w17 too, not some newer 'fixed' handset.

AFAIK the Nokia headset is the only one that can be paired 2 devices at a time. Actually it can be paired with 3 (ie P800, T610 and computer).

Actually, all Ericsson headsets can be paired with up to 8 devices...as per the original BT spec. The HBH 10/15 and I think even the 20 can all be actively paired with 8 handsets. A new menu appears on your mobile where you can select which device will be the 'current' device... I miss this feature on the new SE headsets.

SE devices can be paired with up to 8 as well, but can only initiate connections with the LAST device it was paired with. It can still answer calls with the other phones, but not initiate a call.
