Just been to my local CPW to check out the T610's.
I asked them if they ones they had in stock were the non hissing models.
A confused look was the reply. I explained the problem to them and they were like you learn something new everyday.
The seemed to sell it on all networks including Orange. I asked if i could see one to test it out, and hurragh it was a pure SE model, box and everything, and no network logos on the casing, very nice. I checked the manufacturing date and it was a w19 model.
I got them to put a sim in it to test for the hissing, and unfortunately it had, i showed them what the problem was and they understood.
The bloke told me that they get deliveries in every Wednesday, and Friday so if i ring in and check if they get any of the new models in, though it said it depends how popular the phone is, which could be a problem if everyone knows about the hissing as no one will buy it until the newer models are out, and if no one buys them then they won't get new stock in - bit of a catch 22 situation.
Tomorrow i'm going to check the other 2 CPW to see if they they have any newer models, but i'm really wanting a non network branded phone now, the way SE intended it.

Indeed on Thursday I called SE UK to find out about the fix and the guy initially tried to convince me there was nothing wrong generally and that it was a problem specific to my phone. Only when I started getting a bit annoyed and pointed out a few web sites did he agree "oh that hiss sound!"
Out of interest I called again on Friday and spoke to someone else and guess what.. they denied all knowledge again.
I hung up!

U did the right thing although theres a catch: it it not aknowledged cuz the firm did not informed the emploees officialy by email for example.whats not official its not true.he MAY NOT aknowledge in the name of the firm u know that dont u?
