I am just hoping that this function still *exist" on the phone - fair enough, it does - but how can I set the key to fast dialling?

to do that you need to arrange the memory position of the number you want to call. So eg. if "John" is in the number 1 position then that's the guy you'll call when you speed dial that number. Hope this helps!

You can arrange them in whatever order you want...

I've tried it last night, but still haven't got a clue...
Do I have to go for the SIM memory or can I just do it in the phone memory?
Or it would rather be a pleasure if you can do a step by step for me~

the speed dialling is based on the sim position 1-9......but since T610 doesn't let you edit sim card , the only way to arrange the position is arrange your phone memory position first then copy all to sim. Then your sim card will have the position you want for speed dialling !

Otherwise you could just plug your SIM-card into an older phone, make 10 contacts there, and then put the SIM back into your t610...

Haven't tried it but it sounds logical

compared to how Nokia manage their speed-dial SE are still way back in the dark ages.
I've just got my first SE phone (a T610) after having Nokias since 1991 and it's amazing how many things are harder compared to even some of the older Nokias.
The T610 is a great little phone, but it's frustrating that some things that would/could be really useful are so hard to use they're more crippleware than feature
