Hello, i am considering gettting a p800. i would like to know if when you sync with a pc, do you get the contents of your ms outlook inbox and sent items on the p800 in a separate account? if not could someone please explain what you do get? dont know if you remember the r380, but that had the best email syncing ever, one account for online email via gprs or gsm and one account for pc mail and outlook was commpletely mirrored in that account...ie inbox, sent, drafts and deleted items!!!

On the sync with your desktop PC running Outlook you don't get the sent items, only the inbox.

You can however have multiple email accounts.

I have, for example, 4 or 5 different internet email accounts that I pick up using GPRS, one dial-up RAS connection to the office email and then the sync'd account with my desktop PC. Each one uses it's own connection method (GPRS, HSCD, sync) automatically. Works really well.

@FrozenWaffles:
It creates a seperate account especially for the PC Synched mail. It also integrates with the "Send As" feature of the phone, where you will get an option "PC Mail" in addition to "Infrared/Bluetooth/SMS/MMS/Email". The only difference is it gets sent when you next synch, via outlook. The messaging account with be your computer name followed by a set of numbers.

By default it only synchs the last day or so of messages, but you can change that option on the PC..

@teamedition
it DOES synch the sent mail folder... well it does on mine, maybe you should check the settings, or check that in outlook your setmail folder is the default one. It also can sych the draughts folder too.
