Folks,
My wife has a SE T100 phone. Nice, but has an annoying problem. Whenever I set it to T9 dictionary on, its fine for that message. If she then comes out of it and goes back in, its back on multitap entry.
You can change this again by holding down the hash key, thats not a problem, but its knida annoying.
Anyway, any of you bods had the same problem/any advice?
I have set the dictionary on in the main settings also, but it keeps happening.
I console myself with the fact that at least she has T9, not like my P800, but any advice would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Mal.

go into option(see if it's in the main option or for sms options), and set the default input method to T9.
See if that works...

Nope, haven't tried that.
I could give it a go, but I don't see how thats gonna make a difference to be honest.
Whenever you are in (main) settings, you only have the option to select language and default input, set at T9.
I will give that a go.
If that doesn't work I might take it to get reflashed, maybe a software bug. What do you think?

could be, but that bug would be too obvious...

Yeah,
I was thinking more of just that phone, rather than generally.
Thanks for your advice so far. I will check that out when I get home tonight and post again tomorrow.
Any other advice would be welcomed.

OK,
Tried the advce m for momo gave.
Didn't make any difference. Did notice something though.
The problem only occurs after searching for name in phonebook (using find and call, or find and edit). The phone makes you choose Multitap for this function. Afterwards, messages is back to multitap, and not T9 as it was set at before.
Anyone??

Probably a firmware error(?). Take it back to where you've bought it and ask them to upgrade it for you

sounds like your fireware has a bug, suggest that you should go to SE service centre for an upgrade.
