Hi all, I just came across http://www.nowmms.com that does free email to MMS, it states all networks, have tried this on my Vodafone and works great, did not have to change any setting on my phone to receive them.
Free sign up, get an email address of what-ever-you-fancy@nowmms.com and get people to email you at that address for it to be sent to your phone.
Brilliant, I don't need to keep checking my email whilst I'm away, just have my computer forward incoming emails to my PC account to my new nowwmms account.

I suppose this is the start of the spam MMS Revolution. I just signed up, but after having a look at the site they have sponsors. So SUSPECT how they make their money is to send out advertisements with junk......

Could be wrong however, they may just be doing it outta the goodness of their hearts.

The NowMMS.com service is advertiser supported, which means that in exchange for free MMS services, you agree to occasionally receive advertising messages from our sponsors

I just signed up and tested it through my P800 using T-Mobile here in the US and it worked fine.

Any idea how much "advertising" messages we are going to receive?

Do you actually have to pay to receive MMS? Ive always wondered this but never looked into it. You are using GPRS to receive data so is this like downloading a webpage (get charged per KB)

If you do have to pay for receiving MMS, are the advertisments sent via MMS with this company???

Hmmm... has anyone managed to get this working on an Orange P800 yet??

I can receive MMS but can't send it. If you've got it working properly, please could you let me know the correct configuration????

Cheers

BEWARE NowMMS are being carefull not to send out too many advert MMS yet because they dont want bad publicity but you are signing up to them agreeing to recieve promotional MMS on your phones THAT YOU PAY TO RECIEVE. so read the small print before signing up.
BTW so far it seems to be fairly spam free.

Well, this is a new service, someone has has the bright idea to lanuch it. You cant really charge big advertsing rates unless you have a large user base. So - until they have 000's of users I'd say that advertising will be minimal.

no such thing as a free lunch.
