> T68i IR port deactivated, help!

Help,
My T68i used to be fine but now when I select the infrared port ( '10 minutes' ) it comes back and says "infrared deactivated'. If I select infrared port ( 'on' ) nothing happens but the port reverts to off. Is this an internal error? or just that I unlock something that I do not know?
Can anyone help me out? Thanks! ^.^
