Hi,
I have a t300 and does anybody know where and how much it will cost me to upgrade the software. I am near Reading if anyone knows who is around to upgrade it (nice forums btw)

You need to take the phone to a sonyericsson service point. If the phone is still under warrenty and you have proof of purchase it should be free

They usually just look at the date code on the sticker at the back to see if it's still under warranty.

It really depends on where you are located. There is a date code on the back of your phone. Service centers should use that date if you dont have a receipt.
There is no official policy for SE service points to give free upgrades unless you are having warranty problems with your phone or the current firmware has been ordered to be manditorily upgraded. Most service points in europe do give free upgrades.
