Is it just me, or is the BT range of the P800 a bit off? A T610 and a T68i could pick up and bluejack a nokia phone about 7-8m away. My P800 couldn't even see the phone. It seems my P800's BT range is about 4m.

P800 found 2 phones.
T610 found 14.

wow thats quite a difference,
and i'm even more surprised by how many people in that cinema had BT enabled phones! plus having bt switched on, and having the phone on for that matter.

If i tried that in my cinema i'd be lucky if i found even one phone. everyone has crap phones here.

Rashkae Is your phone R1d and on Orange because my P800 is the same. If I move about 4m away from the phone with my HBH-30, it needs switched off and back on again to make a conection, my T68i and both my R520's work alot further away, and even when they go out of range and back into range, the HBH-30does not need to be switched off and on again to work.

P800: R2F
T610: R1L
T68i: R8A

Tested in a local coffee shop, frequented by the rich Nokia lovers who turn on their BT but never turn it off (hence all the cinema contacts):

P800: 1 phone found
T610: 8 phones found (probably every d@mn one in the shop)
T68i: 7 phones found.

All I can say is that the T610 is the phone we all wished the T68 was! Finally!

I've also noticed that a P800 gets a BT transfer of about 30 kb/s with my mac.
My t610 does it at about 5kb/s.
Maybe there's a relation between range and speed??
