Today my battery is running out at some pace. This hasnt happened on my p800 before today. I have made sure all applications are closed using Trackers 'Close all apps' a few times today but the battery is still draining fast.

has anyone noticed a running application in Trackers Open Applications view called Main (16kb)? I havent noticed this before, not sure if this is the problem.

If someone could please check if their tracker shows this task running id be very grateful! I have tried to Kill the app but it wont close....

Dont want to do a Full reset, it will be my first!!!!!!

Try Sman from http://renegade.w3xs.com/ under Droll Software.
This should be able to close it. Btw, I don't have any running file called Main. And I never had one. Now I got R2F just upgraded from R1D. So I have no idea what that Main file is suppose to be.. kill it with Sman!

Now that is weird.
Though Sman is a great prog for other stuff. Not just closing down progs. I like the bluejacking a lot

Now when i close the Virtual flip, the background part is completely white!!!!! its buggered, Hope fading........

If i format the drive in the service menu i take it everything will be erased from the phone except basic Operating system + pre installed apps.

So with a Backup using the Sync software done now, if i then restore this after formatting will my phone be the exactly the same prior formatting (hopefully minus the battery draining!). Also in the formatting process, does this format the D drive(memeory stick)?

Thanks for any help

If you have R2F & English UK system I can send you a pure backup file so you can restore it after a master reset. The file is 2.6 MB.

Thanks for the offer but im on R1D, havent got round to upgrading it yet!

The phone is still operating enough for me to make a back up. Hopefully the backup wont contain a corrupt file, ill just have to take the chance!!

Go for it and good luck ...
I advice to upgrade your phone to R2F, you'll see the difference.

Talking to SE now. They say that you can use backup files from newer versions (R2F) to older versions (R1D). Because the filestructures are the same. I usually trust these people. So take his backup file, I know I would.
Now I am off to my gf! Have a great weekend.

I had the same problem, you havent by any chance had appforge booster(shitiest software ever for the p800) installed have you?

Its actualy an exe file called qsaut.exe...
if you kill the that funktion with Tracker or Sman then you will loose your connection to the network the next time you change cells. Its some very strange application and i have no idea what the f**k it is.

Anyhow what fixed mine was an upgrade from r2d to r2f¨

Edit: it also drained my battery faster than you can say holy shit batman, thats fast 100% to 0% in 3hrs
